Custom Ink:
  • 3 Layer Day / Night Backlit
If the intent is to create a print that will be lit at night without looking oversaturated during daylight hours, a good solution is a three-layer “day/night” backlit file. A day/night backlit prints an image with a middle layer of flood white and, then, the same image on the other two layers. The benefits are that it prints the three layers at the same time in perfect registration, and the middle white layer allows it to look like a normal image during the day and gives it enough density to light it up for nighttime viewing.
  • Flood White Ink
After the image is reverse printed with CMYK, the entire background of the graphics will be covered with White Ink, including clear areas.
  • Second Surface
On clear substrate, the image is first reversed, ink is printed on the back side of the material in CMYK and will result in a translucent colored graphic. The image will be correct orientation when viewing from the front.
  • Spot White Ink
Spot white keeps portions of your design opaque and helps your colors maintain vibrancy. Without that layer of white underneath the colors will be transparent.
  • Three Layer
If the intent is to create a print on clear material for double sided viewing. We will print an image with a middle layer of white and, then, the same image on the top layer.
  • Two Layer Ink, 2nd Surface
On clear substrate, the image is first reversed, ink is printed on the back side of the material, CMYK first, followed by white ink for opacity. The image will be correct orientation when viewing from the front.
